1961 Triumph Bonneville Pre-Unit – One Owner, Unrestored, Running Example

A rare opportunity to own a genuine matching numbers 1961 Triumph Bonneville Pre-Unit, one of the most iconic British motorcycles ever made. This bike has had just one careful owner from new and remains completely unrestored, retaining all its original paint, chrome, and components.

Now running beautifully, with the engine recently rebuilt using New Old Stock standard pistons, NOS standard big end shells, and new main bearings. It still retains its original 8-stud twin-carb cylinder head, features a fully restored K2FC magneto, and retains its original Lucas plug-in headlamp, preserving every detail of its period specification. we have tried to keep this machine condition as close to its as found condition as possible.

This bike has incredible provenance: the original owner covered roughly 5,500 miles before putting it away for nearly 60 years. It was first registered on 1st December 1960, originally sold by Brandish & Sons of Coventry, and it still retains the original dealer transfer on the rear mudguard. We still have the original cardboard logbook, which shows Brandish & Sons and the original purchaser’s name and also comes with a current V5C, retaining its original registration number.

Perfect for enthusiasts who value authenticity, history, and originality. A one-owner, unrestored Bonneville like this is extremely rare and represents a genuine piece of motorcycling heritage.

Ready to ride, display, or preserve as a collector’s gem.
