1962 Triumph Bonneville – Matching Numbers – Long-Term Ownership Since the Late 1960s – Early Restoration – Original Cardboard Logbook + Current V5C – Supplied New by Peter Smith Motors Ltd, Bridgend
On offer is a matching‐numbers 1962 Triumph Bonneville, an honest, well-preserved example restored approximately 40 years ago for a private collection. The bike retains its original engine and frame pairing. Originally supplied new by Peter Smith Motors Ltd of Bridgend and still has its original brass dealer badge on its rear number late, this Bonneville boasts exceptionally strong provenance, having remained in the same ownership since the late 1960s.
This machine still retains its original cardboard logbook, a valuable and seldom-seen piece of period documentation, as well as its current V5C. This machine now displays a mellow, authentic patina consistent with its age and preservation.
A great opportunity to acquire a documented, matching‐numbers 1962 Bonneville with long-term single ownership and both period and modern paperwork—an increasingly scarce combination and an ideal addition to any British motorcycle collection.
